Kingston Datatraveler 100 G3 Format3/18/2021
It is a DT50 from Kingston 32 GB and its stuck on write protection.I tried everything.I also followed regedit thing, the disk 1 with the attributes and most of the repairformat programs.
Till so far, nothing has worked. When you cant get any solution (from all this methods cmd etc., that you tried) this means that was burned and he said that when the usb was burned you can see your files on your usb but you cant copy, transfer, delete or do any format.check your warranty from the store you get your usb and ask for refund. I ran the Command Prompt with administrative rights, the ran the CHKDSK command before Format my drive. When I tried to format it had to unmounts the device but it worked. It does nt go through the initial setup routine where you can choose language and enter contact details Rubbish 19th March 2018, 12:45 PM 5 JimHew Join Date Dec 2016 Location Staffordshire Posts 14 Thank Post 5 Thanked 7 Times in 5 Posts Rep Power 9 kennysarmy I was setting up one of these last week, and also wanted to reset it. So you maxed out the password attempts and it just formatted itself I would have thought it would take you through the whole rigmarole of setting it up from scratch 19th March 2018, 01:31 PM 6 kennysarmy Join Date Oct 2005 Location UK Posts 4,743 Thank Post 978 Thanked 642 Times in 394 Posts Rep Power 306 Originally Posted by JimHew kennysarmy I was setting up one of these last week, and also wanted to reset it. Ill test again - but it just asked me to setup a new password so it could format itself - no option to change the contact details - I had to blank these out manually. Not great for handing out to another teacher.would rather they had to go through the whole setup procedure. Also theres the issue of it not letting you back it up to a school email address, so we cant use the staff members 1TB of OneDrive storage. ![]() I dont know if this will be of any help to you but Ill tell you how were going to proceed with them. As they are going to be school owned devices, we are going to set them up and manageissue them. Theyre going to be backing up to G-Drive accounts that weve set up,and if anyone wants anything from a backup, theyll have to come to us.
